July 2009

What a lovely summer evening last night:  a circle of friends under a rainbow on the HYC patio.  Tom joined the group and we all cooed at the mere mention of Mr. Darcy.  We also drooled over the bologna sandwich Frank McCourt described in his book Teacher Man.  "This was no ordinary bologna sandwich.  This was made by an Italian mother."  Shall we have a bologna sandwich cook-off in honor of Frank?
